Hi %FIRSTNAME%,
🍃 November at Nicole Nattrass Yoga & Pilates
Welcome to my monthly newsletter.
November is the perfect time for a little movement, a little rest and a lot of wellbeing.
Classes will focus on remaining strong, steady and grounded as life tends to get a bit hectic & crazy.

November always seems to bring that feeling that the year is starting to wind down, yet somehow life gets busier!
I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who continues to make our little studio such a welcoming and supportive space. Whether you've been coming along for years or have only recently joined us, it's wonderful to see our community growing, getting stronger and making time for themselves.
As we head towards summer, remember that movement doesn't need to be complicated. Showing up, moving your body and taking a little time for yourself is enough.
Studio News
Meet the Community:
This month we meet Simon,
How long have you been coming?
Since I retired just over three years ago.
What brought you to Yoga?
I wanted to try something different and see what benefit yoga might bring me.
What have you noticed changing?
I've noticed much improved flexibility in all my joints and a reduction in my normal amount of aches and pains. I regularly run so all my leg muscles were over tight and only being used in one way. Various yoga poses have allowed me to stretch differently and increase my agility.
What do you enjoy most about coming to the studio?
Nic is a very enthusiastic and passionate instructor who helps us to explore the limits of our bodies and provides a constantly fresh program to keep us engaged and challenged. Highly recommended !!
Thanks for taking the time to reply Simon!

⭐ Featured Exercise: Tree Pose / (Vrksasana)
Balance isn't something we find once and keep forever. It's something we practise.

Tree Pose is a beautiful reminder that balance isn't about being perfectly still. It's about responding, adjusting and finding stability.
Benefits:
Balance and concentration.
Strengthening the feet and ankles.
Improving body awareness.
Options:
As always I believe there is no right or wrong way, no advanced or lesser option and all are valid.
Let the foot land anywhere on the opposite leg, anchor the standing foot into the floor and softly gaze at a point that is not moving.
Try and close your eyes for an extra challenge and see how long you can hold!!
Using a block under the raised foot, a wall or keeping toes on the floor.
Try Tree Pose in a chair.

Here's your reminder to keep showing up for yourself as things get busy leading up to Christmas!
CHRISTMAS TIMETABLE
Please note our next Evening of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra replaces all other classes on Tuesday 15th December at 6pm - 7.30pm
This is our last class of the year and will be a lovely way to finish the year. I hope you can make it, and you are invited to stay afterwards for a little celebration.
Classes will finish up on the 15th December and will resume Mid January - with a reduced timetable to begin with. Please book your class ahead so you don't miss out with classes filling quickly.
Keep an eye out for the January Newsletter opening registrations for Term 1.
If you would like to continue your practice over the holidays you can go into my Virtual Library and practice at home for $15 per month (cancel at anytime). There are a few Pilates classes and mostly Slow Flow Yoga Practices. For those asking, I will try to get more Pilates classes recorded for you all!!
Take Care,
Nicole x
